Sweetwater Poultry
| This is Mia. She was my best chicken mom. I sold my Buff Orp flock but could not part with Mia. She was my favorite bird. She was ill and on April 22, 2008 I took her to the vet. He said her prognosis was very poor. With a heavy heart, I took her to UC Davis where they euthanized her and did a necropsy. Mia had advanced ovarian cancer. I miss her terribly but I am glad I spared her from suffering a painful death. She was a very special bird. RIP my sweet Mia. |

MY BIRDS ARE NPIP CERTIFIED BY THE STATE OF CA TO BE FREE OF PULLORUM-TYPHOID: NPIP# CA316 I live here with my husband, 2 dogs, 2 cats, (see dogs and cats below) and my birds. Space is limited so I have obtained the highest quality stock I can find. I do not show my birds but all of my breeders are pure bred from good lines. Prices will be posted when stock is available. I no longer chase chickens and have made friends with Leroy the cat (and I have made a truce with Abby). I love kids, other dogs, kitties and people. I don't understand why the chickens don't want to play with me but I take my responsibilities very seriously. I keep the skunks and other varmints away! Saffy the Lab is my best buddy.
