| I bought these beautiful (and expensive) eggs from one Wade Jeane, of the top Marans breeders in the US. They are the real deal, from imported stock. Out of 14 eggs, 11 hatched - an amazing hatch with shipped eggs! 9 fat little chicks hatched on 12/21/2006. They all have feathered legs. I recently had to downsize due to work demands but I kept 2 small flocks of Black Copper Marans. I WILL ALSO HAVE EGGS AVAILABLE FROM BEV DAVIS BIRDS IN FALL 2009 I HAVE A LONG WAITING LIST FOR BLACK COPPER HATCHING EGGS I AM CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING NEW ORDERS sweeth2o1@gmail.com The Marans Chicken Club is working to get this great breed recognized by the APA.They have posted standards for a few colors on their web page: http://www.maransusa.org |
