Sweetwater Poultry
| This is Mia. She was my best chicken mom. I sold my old Buff Orp flock (hatchery birds) but could not part with Mia. She was my favorite bird. She was ill and on April 22, 2008 I took her to the vet. He said her prognosis was very poor. With a heavy heart, I took her to UC Davis where they euthanized her and did a necropsy. Mia had advanced ovarian cancer. I miss her terribly but I am glad I spared her from suffering a painful death. She was a very special bird. RIP my sweet Mia. |

I raise Buff Orpingtons (Louis Clevenger line) and Black Copper Marans (see Marans tab for details on lines) MY BIRDS ARE NPIP CERTIFIED BY THE STATE OF CA TO BE FREE OF PULLORUM-TYPHOID: NPIP# CA316 Space is limited so I have obtained the highest quality stock I can find. I do not show my birds but all of my breeders are pure bred from good lines. Prices will be posted when stock is available. I prefer PayPal for payments, but other arrangements can be made. I moved to Roseville on December 5, 2009. I had no manners and no training when I arrived, but I am very smart and have learned a lot! I no longer chase chickens and have made friends with Leroy the cat (and I have made a truce with Abby). I love kids, other dogs, kitties and people. I don't understand why the chickens don't want to play with me but I take my responsibilities very seriously. I keep the skunks and other varmints away! Saffy the Lab is my best buddy.
